How a flip works

01A stack is n pancakes, each a size rank with a facing side: browned or pale up.
02Slide the spatula in at a depth and turn the whole top over. The cakes you flip reverse their order and every one of them turns browned to pale and back.
03Tap a depth handle down the right edge. A handle at depth d flips the top d cakes; the number on it is the depth.
04A one-cake turn is refused — reversing a single cake changes no order, so it is free. Pick a depth of 2 or more.
05Close a ticket when the stack reads smallest on top down to largest AND every cake sits browned-side-up. Both must hold; watch the two lamps.
06Every flip is its own inverse, so a stack never jams. Par is the shortest flip count, found by an exact search, and the meter marks it.
07Three stars at par, two within two extra flips, one beyond that. Nothing ever locks you out — starting over is free.
08Tips buy aprons and trinkets on the apron board. Nothing there changes how a stack flips.
